What is the best type of hot book? I am trying to decide between the electronic model and the flint model.

I tend to prefer electric ignition over flint.
All too often I've struck a flint wheel and got little or no spark, at least, on the first strike; you don't really get a second chance though.
So long as you keep on top of the battery (don't let it get weak), E.I. is great.
However, I've got a flint based Hot Book that works very well, so maybe it depends on the flint wheel assembly - some are good, some aren't.
