I got one of the first ones (I think) - yes, that's it on the magicwarehouse site.
Mike, you pretty much nailed it. It's battery powered, using nichrome wire to ignite small pieces of flash paper, and can be instantly retracted leaving you clean - kind of like an electronic flash paper version of the Ignitor. That's pretty much it, I'm not sure what else I can say about it, without blurting out design specs so someobody builds their own. I think it was made pretty smartly, and is safe to use, even up the sleeve, which cannot be said of the ignitor. (Through not fault of it's own, it's just not a good idea with actual fire) I think it's neat. I like all of Jim Pace's fire effects - he knows what he's doing, his stuff works, and it's totally safe if used as directed.

Mystician,
Is it for stage or close up ? Is it safe to fire a flash paper on the same hand ? Thanks for advice |

Mystician,
You did get the first one. The Igniter is a way to augment any close up or stage effect. I would definantly use this as an opener, but it is convenient enough to wait for any time. It uses a locking reel so you can adjust it to the length of your jacket ala inviso torch or let it hang just out of your sleeve. I have used it for creating sparks (better than a funken ring) productions, and lighting my business card on fire. This in no way resembles the raven. Think of floating a rose and instead of grabing a lighter from your pocket you just touch the floating rose with your finger...whoosh, a real rose. You can use it to light your Fantasio candle, with just a touch. How about blowing out an extinguished candle to have it light as you blow? I did not start this thread, I just love my new product.
