Hello,

I am looking for an effect in which a coin (half dollar) appears to be pulled out of my mouth. The coin is in my hand beforehand and I want it to look like I'm taking it out of my mouth. I can't get the coin to come out of my hand in such a way that it looks like it is coming out of my mouth.

Does anyone have any ideas or a tutorial?

Thank you very much
Martin

Danny Goldsmith has a great looking JUMBO coin from mouth.
I would think a normal size coin would be even easier?

I am more aware of coin in the mouth vanishes. Danny Goldsmith does a nice production out of the nose, if that's an option for you.
You can get an impression here (two versions) around min 3:00 :

He teaches this in "Insight" by Copeland Coins.

IIRC, Zee has a nice one, too.

Are you sure about this? Do you remember the routine? I only know about swallowing a Jumbo (Daily dose of iron, part of Homage package).

If you can swallow it, you can produce it. It's the same actions in reverse. Even easier since you don't have to hide/ditch the coins after.

He visibly puts the coin deep into his mouth and then makes a retention vanish. You can't reverse his vanish and it's a completely different motivation to bring your hand up. If the coin is in your mouth, just open it.
The reverse would look like this: You bring your hand to your lips, open your mouth and a coin suddenly appears at the tips of your fingers.

Maybe just coin through chin is an option?

Thank you very much for your answers, I will have a look at the linked material and hopefully have some good starting points.

This guy does exactly that.
Reckon he just has a really good retention vanish and just does it in reverse.

At 35 seconds he does it multiple times. Looks cool.
