Hello all,

If you could only have one card magic book to read the rest of your life, which book would you pick?

I will start. I would choose Harry Lorayne's Close-Up Card Magic. I love Harry's writing, and I really enjoy his tricks. The book that I own is actually Lorayner:The Classic Collection 1, so I guess it get 4 books in one Smile

How about you? What book would you pick?

Steve Forte's "Gambling Sleight of Hand - Forte Years of Research" two-volume set.

This is really hard but I would probably choose 'the expert at the card table'.

Does Card College count as one book? If so, that would be the one for me.

Either Lorayne’s Classic Collection 1 or one of John Bannon’s earlier works - probably Dear Mr Fantasy.

RRTCM for me as well. That probably has something to do with learning card magic from it initially.

Probably RRTCM not only for the content but also for the style of writing. But if I could bend the rules and say Tarbell then that way you get ALOT more magic thrown in. The old saying "it's in Tarbell" applies so often that everybody should own it.

Similar observation: As a part of a group of very young magicians a long time ago, we often referred to GREATER MAGIC as the "poor man's TARBELL COURSE".

At just $10 from Ireland's, it was quite a deal! Smile
