Lance and his friends came to Scottsdale yesterday, and I made the pilgrimage to
go see them.
For starters, it was at the ballroom in talking stick resort, a decent venue.
Probably more than 80 percent of the seats were filled, so a pretty good turnout.
The show ran about 90 minutes, and featured four different acts, including
Michael Goudeau, Keith West, Fielding West, and Lance Burton.
It was a pretty big production for a traveling show, their 100 plus years' experience
combined was obvious.
I don't want to go into detail about the individual sets to avoid spoilers, but the
pre show work, and the callbacks were top notch.
Also, even though they were different acts, they played together well enough that
it seemed connected throughout. I'm having trouble coming up with any real negatives,
some miner mic glitches is all that comes to mind.
After the show, the performers stuck around in the lobby to sign autographs and take
pictures. When I told Lance I was a local professional, he asked questions and was
nice enough to give me a copy of one of his linking ring magazines. Which
he and Fielding West singed for me. Pic below.
All in all, I'll give it 5 out of 5 stars, go see it if you get the chance.
