HI,
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE NAME OF COMEDY EFFECT WHERE SEAT ON STOOL DROPS AND CENTER POLE COME THROUGH SEAT WHERE THE MAGICIAN IS SITTING? IF SO, IS IT STILL BEING MADE? HAD A FRIEND MAKE ONE BUT IT WAS SHORT AND INCREDIBLY HEAVY. APPRECIATE ANY HELP. SCOTT SHOEMAKER... SHOOZ

I believe that it was Howard Bamman that invented the stool and then Dick Stoner made a great version which he made and sold. Dick's was called the "Bottoms Up" stool. Both versions were heavy and difficult to travel with. Like a lot of small illusions they didn't fly well and were more suited for the trunk of a car.
I don't think that Stoner's Magic shop makes or sells the prop any longer. You could give them a call and ask. 260.426.1100 Daytona Magic does advertise a version on their website: https://daytonamagic.com/shop/comedy-magic/comedy-bar-stool/ I'd call them first to make sure that they actually have it in stock. They sometimes advertise stock they don't have and find that they cannot get it when ordered.
