That's really sad and unfortunate for the victim. Sounds like Mike might have mental health or substance abuse issues. He seemed like a nice guy from his communications on the Café. Strange that the reporters didn't mention he was a magician, they usually like to mention unusual stuff like that, but I'm glad they didn't.

How much can you know from someone's post on a forum, really? But: based on that one metric, seemed like a pretty cool guy. Very sad all around.

To be honest I am beyond shocked. All his posts on the Café seem to be that coming from a man who had a very good thought process when he gave answers to questions about magic effects on here. But it is true you never know however I am completely shocked over this I always thought he had well thought out responses and suggestions here on the Café. I wish he would have taken the time to fully understand the ramifications of his actions and he might have chosen a different path. But like all of you I am extremely shocked and saddened about what happened here. And that goes for the family of the victim as well.
