Can anyone direct me to a impromptu thumb tie method?

I know one that involves a tt but in my view it stands out
to much. (a tt shouldn't be seen) I wouldn't perform it in a show.

I would like to use an ordinary rope if possible,
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

After some experimentation, I've found that a 'keller rope tie' but
on the thumbs works well.

A 'keller thumb tie' can work with clothesline if necessary.

Bit of advice, flex your thumb after the first knot.
It won't help you slip in and out, but will keep your thumb from
loosing circulation.

After some more use I can't recommend a Keller tie on the thumbs.
It's doable but it cuts circulation to much compared to some other ways.

Losander has a good version of this, personally I use zip ties, and for strolling I have mini wire cutters. I was once at a party and this subject came up and I had nothing with me, but the owner of the house ran out to his garage and got a bunch of zip ties and a large wire cutter and that was all I needed for a great impromptu effect

I learned the Jim Ryan Thumb Tie, many years ago. I think it's on video. I use a pipe cleaner, instead of a short rope, and a bandana as cover. It's suited for an in-again, out-again style of thumb tie routine.

I remember one from an early Genii using fish line tied so tightly it almost cuts into the flesh with two guys pulling on the ends as hard as they can.
