I received this email from The Magician's Forum. I assume it's alright to post here. If it's not, please delete it.
I wanted to inform you all of some news regarding Harry Lorayne. I've been given permission to share this with you from his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth.
Harry has been in the hospital for the last couple of weeks, recovering from an unexpected surgery. He seems to be improving, but remember that while he is very strong, he is 93 years old. I'd like to encourage you to send Harry an email or greeting card. It would be kind and encouraging for us to show him how much he is loved and appreciated by our community by flooding him with well-wishes.
If you'd like to do that, here is his mailing address:
Harry Lorayne
48 Liberty Street, Unit F
Newburyport, MA 01950
Please keep Harry in your thoughts and prayers as I await further news about his recovery.
Your friend in magic,
Rudy Tinoco

Mr Lorayne is a magical connection to our rich, mysterious and vibrant history of the long gone golden days of the greats such as Vernon. Stay strong sir!

I believe he is doing fine. He posts regularly on the forum. As a matter of fact, he just made a post an hour and a half ago. I encounter his posts most often in the beginner area and card areas of the forum. I didn't realize Harry was 94. I guess it is true that an active mind keeps the body young. There is a faction on the Café that likes to give self-promoters a hard time (might have something to do with the rules ) But I am glad that Harry continues to post and remind people of his great works. Don't worry Harry, Your tomes will continue to be must read classics for the next hundred years.

Is he still doing okay? Haven't seen anything from him in some time.

Michael Vincent put it best when he said something along the lines that, because of Harry's personal sounding writing style, he felt like Harry was a friend before he ever even met him.
I think a lot of us feel the same way.
This is incredibly sad news. It is reassuring to know that he will live on through his tremendous and copious works.
