This looks crazy!!

Ad copy:

A mentalism effect combined with a very visual and ghostly display!

Mind-reading routines are as old as magic itself. While there is no need to fix something that isn't broken, you can always push boundaries. That is exactly what Victor Sanz has done with his very own variation of an age-old classic. Introducing the Self-Flipping Notepad!

Have your spectator write down the name of a deceased celebrity on your notepad, and use your mind-reading ability to tell them which person's name they wrote down. The spectator is stunned. Then contact that celebrity from beyond the grave, and get this other-wordly entity to flip through the notepad right to their name! The spectator's jaw will drop - be prepared for screams!

An impactful routine that will make any crowd flip out with awe!

What you get:
1 instructional DVD
1 gimmick
TV rights not included with purchase. Please contact SansMinds for TV rights.

I assume the performer has to be holding the notepad to activate the flipping, but I wonder if there is way to have it sitting on a table out of your hands when it flips?

With a page used in each performance, does this come with refills or is this not an issue?

I'm pretty sure this is a DIY project, so my guess is there will be no refills

I got two of these and while the method is very clever indeed. The supplied note pads are not even close to the one in the demo and instructional video? We can't use this as you would need giant hands to pull this off.
Why show one size note pad and give the customers an unusable note pad?

This will be the last product I buy from Sans Minds. I have emailed Penguin as this is not right. Very disappointed indeed. Sans Mind fix your huge note pad for the one that should be a workers note pad.
Frustrated for sure.

Mike, don't only complain, make sure you return the item to Penguin for a refund. When there are enough returns that hits the producers where it counts and gets their attention and that helps all of us.

I have to confess I refrained from pulling the trigger on this until some reviews came in. I agree with videoman you should request a refund.

Thanks brothers that’s the only way to make this right. Penguin is a first class company and should do the right thing. The part that bothers me is Victor Sanzs has come up with a brilliant piece of mental and Visual magic. I will let you know what transpires. Sans Minds needs to fix this issue regarding the size of the pad. It’s False advertising at best show one thing and send another. We can’t do the effect without exposing the secret.

It is pretty big isn't it. And it's not complete. You have to make it.

You don't really get a "gimmick"

A Sans Minds trailer that isn't 100% honest? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you!

Next you'll be telling me that there's gambling in Casablanca. Smile

Cue Will Tsai coming in to say that they never lie and their trailers are always 100% accurate.

Is this a method that can be applied to smaller notepads if purchased independently or does it only work with what is supplied?
