I'm currently knee deep in David Kaye's Seriously Silly book. Have numerous David Ginn lecture notes and booklets and several of Samuel Patrick Smith's books and pamphlets. I've found his DayCare/Preschool show book incredibly helpful, even though I don't plan on trying to work that circuit, but it still has lots if info that could be slightly modified to be helpful for Bday Party shows and booking/marketing.

I have Chris Capehart's DVD on order and have been told that its a goldmine. Also considering the Kidshow Rockstar DVD. Is that really worth a purchase?


I recently got Birthday Party Manua from Tommy James and have really enjoyed it thus far (though the sound quality on the performance DVD is a but wonky).


So yeah, great resource list. I'm really trying to read as many books, pamphlets, lecture notes etc and buy and watch as many quality DVDs as I can so I can be as informed and prepared as possible before I take thus plunge!!!

So this just gives me even MORE material that it looks like I need to catch up on.

If one were to choose the most entertaining AND informative 5-10 books/notes/DVDs from Mike's list. (That aren't ones I e already mentioned that I have), what would they be?
