Why can't we search our old posts anymore? It just asks for a forum now.

I can't remember where my posts were as there are so many different forums. When will this feature return?

Well, we can't because Gene is re-doing it to make it better.
It'll come back when Gene gets it fixed.

I the meantime, you can always use a Google search for your username and "site:themagiccafe.com". If you go into the Advanced properties, you can set it for within the last 30 days. I can't figure out how to sort it by date posted, though.

Thanks for the tip, Ed! Apparently I rely on this function quite often, as I get on such a roll around here I can't remember where I've been by morning. Smile

Wow, I guess it's true what they say about not really appreciating something until it's gone.
I never realized how much I relied on the search engine, but I used it constantly.

If any complainers are looking for a silver lining in this, here it is: being required to specify a forum has the benefit of introducing many other forum topics that we may often take for granted.
Usually, I zero in on three or four topics and rarely visit any others.

In scrolling down the list of forums to find the one I want to search, I have already found myself saying, "'Lights...camera...action' - what's that all about? Or Gaffed and funky? Hmm."

This search engine upgrade might actually be responsible for helping me spend (or waste) even MORE time on the internet! Thanks, Gene!
