My teacher died in 2007 and was one of the best mimes and teachers the art ever saw. Tony Montanaro was an excellent teacher in the art of mime as well, and he has books and DVDs out that are a great start, but sadly Mr. Montanaro is no longer with us. His wife, Karen, still teaches today and is based in Maine. Her website can be seen here: http://www.mimetheatre.com/ I have also heard some great things about Samuel Avital as mentioned by Zoobini.

It looks like the New York ones on Fredrick's link is closest to me...Does anyone have recommendations on which ones are better or more affordable? -Steve

Also, think about learning yoga as an on-going practice alongside the mime... I do... All the best
