Recently on You Tube I have viewed some pretty interesting illusions where the performers head appears to fall off his shoulders by as much as a foot or two. Does anyone know where I can find out more about this set-up? Is it available in books or dvds?

Thanks and have a nice day,

Unfortunately,it's not for sale so you won't find it in a book or on a DVD !
There is a poorly rip off version that has been offered in a manuscript but this is put out by someone wo wants to make some money without knowing how this illusion works.

Have you seen Head Rush? Not sure if it will fit your needs but thought I'd give you a 'heads' up on it.

Hi: I am the one demoing Peters' Head Rush Illusion on his sit-- great illusion (e-mail me if you buy and need help). I also do the Head Drop Illusion (on YouTube). I THINK I have seen Rafael do Head Drop Illusin on YouTube (how did you acquire rights to preform this illusion?)

I do it to, as you know. I don't think there's any way to obtain the rights to do this effect.

I do my own version of the head drop.
It's very different from Cyril and other versions out there (unlike yours James)
Cyril, Peter Marvey and others have eeen my version and agree that it's different from theirs: I can only do my version on stage, I have a lower drop, no hands in pockets and my body stays the same (no hollow body!)
So unless you create your own version you can't perform this since there is no way to obtain the rights.
It's a pity that so many people copy Cyril's version without his permission!

Yours using a long coat so how is it different ????(lower than mine I don't think so)( How did you get rights ???)
Please rember you said I could invent my on version. (it is coming soon).

There are more differences that just a longer coat, like:
a lower drop, no hands in pockets, my body stays the same and others important changes....
It's totally different from Cyrils version!
But the downside is that I can only perform my version on stage.
Even mine is different enough I still talked to some of the people involved to make sure!
You can invent your own version of the head drop effect but it has to be different from the other versions out there (so making your coat longer or changing it's color is not enough!)

Peter has got a new Head Rush out, the Head Rush Deluxe where he builds everything for you...something to consider. I used to own the original, it was pretty clever actually.

Mine doesn't use a coat hanger !
I can tell you all the differences but I don't like to expose my methods especially not in a public forum.

I think we're beating a dead horse. Mine can only be done on stage - it's done with a Kimono, no coat. Hands are visible at all times. I think maybe I should patent my method.

This is the best version I have seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBXkH8oIHkc The word is that she created it and then sold it or gave it to Cyril.
