While we're at it about social relevance, the Aquaman movie focused on environmental concerns and the climate crisis. In the film, the villain attacks humans because humans have befouled the ocean with plastic and other pollutants. Taking it into the real world, its actor, Jason Momoa, testified before the United Nations on the importance of climate protection policies. A student of marine biology in his college years, the actor has spoken up often on issues of environmental preservation, intertwining his Aquaman character with real-life issues.

Yes the actor who becomes an instant expert because he plays Aquaman. HILARIOUS. Next he will be an expert on the desert because of his roll in Dune right?

Many worlds - some will become mainstream comicbook canon.

Interesting here how Ridley Scott seems to ask how either of then can catch up with movies in general. He makes great points and I’ve do tend to agree even as much as I enjoy comic books.

The new spiderman movie is going to have Villains from past films apparently,
Disney is still tight lipped about if there is going to be a past spiderman.

The multiverse - apparently including versions containing villains we have seen before. They are being cautious about ... in contrast to the DC Flash movie project which has buzz about previous Batman cast.

I said it wasn't very likely, but I'd love to see a reference to the Japanese Spider Man from the 70's, with his car/robot!

I've never understood that. In the original cartoon/television show, it was made clear that Superman, "in the disguise of mild mannered reporter, Clark Kent, leads a never-ending battle for Truth, Justice, and the American Way." So it was CLARK doing these things.

Also, lets be real. Superman has been international for years. They had him give up his American citizenship so that, if he has to go into some questionable nation, it's not an "International incident."

The line has a few more words before "disguised as". Here's the speech with the subject clauses in bold:
Quote:
Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound!

("Look! Up in the sky!" "It's a bird!" "It's a plane!" "It's Superman!")

Yes, it's Superman ... strange visitor from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men! Superman ... who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!

Clark Kent would be a citizen as his adoptive parents claimed him as their own.

Some story details from CBR look like a setup for tragedy: https://www.cbr.com/superman-love-intere......QfWGg9iU

There's a toxic trope in our media:

I hope the folks at DC steer clear of that problem.

Ummm you do know what a “disguise” is don’t you? You completely contradict your own point in your own sentence. Want to give it another go?

Because according to your premise if I wear a disguise at a robbery nobody can convict me of the crime.
No amount of linguistic gymnastics will change he was in America in contradiction to the law. It is very simple. And Jonathan even IF they claimed him they never told the truth. That would negate the process. Let’s stop.

Yea no never. It has been glossed over. And regardless they would have had to LIE in any application therefore negating the entire thing. Just stop. It is a hole in the story so I accept it as that.

He was in America illegally. End of story.

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" was fantastic! I saw it yesterday.

The audience clapped and cheered several times. It's been a while since I experienced that reaction in a movie theatre.

Of course, because it's a Marvel movie, be sure to stay to the end of the credits, for bonus scenes.

P.S. Also, I'm really enjoying "Hawkeye" on Disney+.
