Lately I've had a normal deck with me, invisible deck, and a "unshuffled" deck all primed. Sometimes a couple of gaffed cards to mix in and out of the normal deck.

Right now, at work, I have a deck of cards and five metallic casino chips from Vegas.

I, too, carry coins, a deck and a hot rod. Then again, I'm a pediatrician, and the hot rod is particularly good for the three to five year olds. I am toying with carrying more, perhaps an expanded coin shell.

Usually I don't carry anything. However, when I think I might be asked to do something (going to some sort of social function where people know what I do), typically I carry a nail writer, maybe a TT, maybe a bent c*** and sometimes I strap on a m****t (depends on where I am going). Anything else would seem a little overboard, especially cards. No non-magicians I know carry cards with them, and they'd think it a little odd I had a deck and would instantly assume it was faked. Not too good if one is trying to be convincing.

I personally don't really like to carry much, but a TT, #19 rubber bands and a few nice coins can go a long way.

I like what Harry Murphy had to say; however, I do carry a couple of things:
3-4 Kennedy halves (if nothing else, I can practice palms and other moves) Occasionally, a good old deck of Bicycles. Jeremiah |

I try to keep things pretty basic.I don't usually go up to people and start throwing streamers and mouth coils in their face. It's usually for my amusement and practice.
1 deck of bikes 6 halfs(including scotch and soda) Raven(to surprise myself when I'm really bored) lighter and a pack of smokes
Reality is just a perception!

I use to carry arround a ringflight that also provided me with room to carry coins, rubberbands, flashpaper... I NEVER performed the ringflight for fear of scratching someones ring. Anyway, you will always have your keys with you and by picking up a similiar keychain from the gas station (for about $2) you will always have some of your favorite tricks on you. And with all your tricks in there you WON'T lose your keys!!!
I have about 20 min. worth of material in there--that's packing small! |

On top of cards, I bring coins. It's not too bad since I could always get change from stores. Also, rubber bands would be great. A pen isn't bulky as well. I can do a recap trick with it and it's a lot of fun. A ring, handkerchief, a shoe string for various tricks.

I tend to only carry something when I go out on the town. Here's what I keep in the pockets of my blazer:
Gregory Wilson's "It" Mirror Reverse A deck of cards (I love to perform "Think A Card") Bill Goldman's Mental Yarn (I LOVE performing this for the ladies) I may, in the future, just do an equivoque routine with a prediction, instead of carrying a deck of card. I got really mad when I thought I had brought a plastic case of a certain weekend accessory and discovered it was a deck of cards instead. I also want to carry some folded billets on me for some mentalism. |

There are six Mis-Made Bills and a pack of loops in my wallet. Always The Mis-mades are left with spectator on those special occasions. I can tell you how many store openings have them on the wall where their first 20 dollar bill, etc., is proudly taped.
The mis-made is always signed. A business card that will be displayed for years.

When I was in college I always had a couple of decks of cards in my knapsack. I learned a couple of things from the Mark Wilson Videos, played around so there wasn't any set up. Today I have coins in my pocket. I miss my college days.
