Howdy People

I was wondering if anyone knew of any books, videos, and DVD's on the magic that uses a rose as its main prop.
I want to put a little romance into my act.

Any help would be great!

Thanks a lot in advance.

I believe that there is a video called Rose Magic by Monty.

There is always the ever popular floating rose

Also interested in rose magic.

Would someone care to comment the Monty video?

Thanks.

Marc DeSouza did a competition act many years ago that featured a Rose theme. I think the videotape is available through Camirand in Canada.

There is a very poetic and great effect using a rose and a deck of cards (very nice effect indeed) in "the devil's picturebook" from Derren Brown.
If you can take a look at it, it should please you.

Jonathan.

You should check out Simon Lovell's "The Madness Behind the Method" from Magic Makers. Simon emphasises that he does NOT want people to use his napkin rose as part of a magic trick but that the real magic comes from the simple art of the creation of the rose from a napkin while being told with a heart warming story.

If you like the idea of taking a few minutes out of your act to create magic in a way other than using a trick or illusion you will like this one.

The Kevin James Floating Rose is a beautiful stage routine, and I don't think you could find a more romantic routine. I believe Kevin James taught this routine to David Copperfield for one of his specials. You can find it at the following link. Good luck and if you get this one let us know what you think and how it goes.

Yes,
Actually Kevin James taught it to DC, and DC did made some minor handling improvements. This is the trick that got me started in magic!!

Excellent one.

Steve Dusheck had put out a whole series of rose effects.
Vanishing Rose, Appearing Rose, & Rose Bud are three of his that come to mind.

Rose Magic by Monty has some nifty ideas and presentations. I've dealt with Monty many times when I lived in Hawaii and he does have some gems on his video.

Hands Down, Kevin James' Floating Rose. Once you make the real rose appear, then check out Monty's book. Can come up with a wonderful routine. Kevin James, excelent work!!
