I have several tricks that I bought and used once or twice. They either didn't fit my style or I plainly didn't like them - whatever. I'm now looking to sell them to somebody who can get better use out of them, and then I'll use that money to substitute it with magic that's better for me.
I'd probably do this through Ebay, but I have two questions before I do. (By the way, I couldn't decide which forum was best for this topic, so moderators are welcome to move it.) Okay...
1) Is it legal to sell a trick and take money for it, without paying the inventor?
2) Is it legal to sell a trick for more money or less money than the set price?
If anyone is familiar with this, I'd really appreciate a response. Thanks in advance,
Dan.

As long as you are selling the whole trick and not instructions on how to re-create the trick (as some have done in the past) there is no violation. It is akin to selling used books, furniture, clothing, etc.
