As a quick trick for friends, I force (or glimpse) a card, then have them sit on the card face-up. I ask them to tilt their head back and open their mouth. I pull out a small flashlight and look down their throat (as if looking down through them), then name the card.

A 'milder' alternative is to have them hold it to their ear and look through the other ear with the flashlight.

I saw someone do this 20 years ago on stage and it was funny then, in todays PC world it's a shame but maybe not.
I say if it works for you, go for it.
