Hypnotism book I would say is Ormond McGill's Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnosis. As far as videos go, I have seen very few. I know what I did was read McGill and then go watch a few live shows by local artists to look at how his ideas and principals are applied to modern-day audiences.
Hope this helps a little, Kennedy

Thanks for the reply.
I seem to remember the book. A customer of mine wanted to buy this and told that there are 2 books of Ormond McGill's Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnosis. |

He's published over 40 books on hypnosis. Then there are several which qualified as encyclopedias and that were names as such. The one you are looking for is the New Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism in hard cover. If it's soft cover it's a different version.
Good luck, but remember that if you want to do this stuff please get trained by someone who knows how. And not necessarily a stage hypnotist. |

Wow! That would be hard to find here in the Philippines.

You can buy the New Encyclopedia at Amazon.com; personally, I think (and I've mentioned this several times before in other threads) that Fun with Hypnosis (also at Amazon) is a better book for the beginner.
Additionally, George Bien offers some presentation videos for hypnotists. You might want to check them out: http://www.GeorgeBien.com Tom Silver has a set of DVDs on stage hypnosis that might be good (I haven't seen them, but Tom's pretty good): http://www.tomsilver.com If you can, join the NGH (ngh.net). By doing so, you get access to their video rental library. I don't know if they'll ship it outside the States, but if they do, you'll have a chance to rent videos by Ormond McGill and others - doing stage hypnosis. Hope it helps. Best, James. |
