Hello,

I have a gaff card here and I am wondering if someone can point me to a routine that goes with it.

The card is double faced. Neither face has indices:

-One face has five diamonds in the pattern of a regular six of diamonds, except the center of the three pips on one long edge is missing.
-The other face has two diamonds in the pattern of a regular three of diamonds, except one of the pips on the short edge is missing.

The fantastic Denis Behr has a category called multi-pip cards (https://www.conjuringarchive.com/list/category/2319) but I was not able to find a trick using this specific card.

I have also found a trick called "The Five Sided Business Card" by Martin Gardner (Chronicles #30, p. 1355) that is somewhat similar but uses a different card. This is a great trick, recommend you check into it.

Sounds like something intended for the old “four sided card” bit — a card with “one spot on this side, and four spots on that side… but three spots on this side… and six spots on that side.”

The key to this quickie illusion is covering and/or exposing one particular pip on each side of the card.

Depending upon how your fingers hold and display this card, one side can give the impression of being either an ace or a three, while its other side can come off suggesting either a four or a six.

All of that may sound cryptic, but play around with it, and you’ll see what I’m getting at.

Makes sense, thank you.

Meanwhile I found this thread which seems to answer my question.
