Just do not see the point in doing a card force with the deck as well.
Surely it’s stronger to have it written on the back of a business card that’s been in full view from the start.
Why are you forcing a card when the gimmick has already done that for you?

Totally agree, it’s pointless then forcing such a brilliant force buy using a pack of cards.

I disagree, rather than having a prediction and it coming across as I always knew what they were going to pick. This created an amazing piece of synchronicity or just a brilliant coincidence. They randomly cut a pack of cards and then use a “random card generator” and they’re the same card. I’ve found it to be really strong and I think it’s because they do all elements of the trick. But each to their own.

Also, to be clear, I do the cross cut first, don’t reveal the card. Use the random card generator to end up with a ‘random card’ and then reveal which card they cut to at the beginning.

I got the Random Card Generator from Jeff Prace a few weeks ago. It looks like it is back on pre-order.

First, I think Jeff is one of the nicest guys in magic. He openly publishes the tutorials and workings of his effects on the plainisightmagic website. You know EXACTLY what you are getting before you but it. You can make your own intelligent decision on whether the effects are right for you.

The Random Card Generator has a nice design and look to it. The card is interesting and has a natural simple appeal to it. A single card makes a perfect EDC in your wallet. The force itself is very clever with almost no chance that spectators will know the inner workings. It is a totally hands-off effect, in that one or more spectators will handle the card and do all the work. Any trick that easily gets 2 spectators involve in the trick and busy performing actions adds to the overall impact. It is fun for the spectators. As always, the presentation is a important, and there have been some great ideas posted on this thread.

It would be nice if there would be some other force cards choices down the road. I hope Jeff keeps producing these, because I love the trick!

This is so fun to do, and probably the best thing I’ve found in 30 years to actually keep in my regular wallet for those impromptu moments. I now keep this, and a small coin envelope with the selection, folded up in my wallet. I never leave home without my wallet, so I will always have something to show, if needed.

Just received my Random Card Generator and I already love it. The gimmick is well-made, fits perfectly in my personal wallet for an EDC, and it's the perfect hands-off effect for close-up. And even though it's a card trick, it doesn't feel like one (in a good way), especially if you are already performing a lot of sleight-of-hand, it adds variety. Looking forward to putting this into my next walk-around gig and/or close-up show.

Just got this last week and love it! It's the perfect bookmark/lead in to an effect. Check out what the Jerx recently said about his technique called "Spont". It's perfect for this card. Definitely will be ordering more in the future!

Just received my Random Card Generator a couple days ago and I'm very happy with it. It's nice to have a reliable, hands-off force that I can carry around to use at a moment's notice. I'll echo some of the replies above in saying it would be great to have different force card options in the future, but overall really clean effect and the spectator doing it in their own hands is great!

Great effect, easy to carry and it’s different from your standard pick a card trick. Very happy with my purchase

This is so innocent and sneaky. It removes the element that the magician is forcing a card. It is really good and practical.

Best

Totally agree the best EDC fooler I have ever purchased.
I simply cannot stop performing it, so glad I bought in a large bulk.
Trick of the year if it’s based on something that you will definitely always and forever use.

I forgot to add I got 5 extra spares in every set I ordered for free as well.
Whether that was because I bought 8 sets I don’t know but it’s a nice touch.

I just got this and already love it so much.

There aren't a lot of effects that almost fool yourself, and this is one of the few. So easy, so fun, so fooling. And feels so different from a card trick.

It's a bit bigger than a business card (so wouldn't necessarily fit in a business card wallet), but not by much.

Can everyone please get this immediately so we can figure out what fun ways to use it?? Thanks in advance.

I agree it’s superb, it’s exactly the same size as a poker size playing card as advertised.

This is fantastic. The written instructions have just one or two sentences describing how it works, but that's enough - just follow the steps, and the magic happens by itself. And it's totally hands off! The card is perfect, it does all the work. I'm playing with a few different reveals, but the choice of card feels totally random, even when I was practicing on my own.
