Apologies if I've asked this before... I'm pretty sure I asked in another forum but maybe there will be someone reading the "Magicians of Old" forum who can provide additional information.

In his "Cutting Up Jackpots" column in the March 2007 issue of Linking Ring, Bev Bergeron made this comment:
-----quote-----
The floating light bulb made famous by the two Blackstones was first marketed as “Dunninger’s Light that floats.” Dunninger had come up with the idea of a battery-powered light bulb; Burling (Hull) added the magic from the floating ball of David Abbott and put the bulb on the magic market in 1931.
-----unquote-----

Can anyone provide further information about Dunninger coming up with "a battery-powered light bulb?" Was that the precursor of what later became "The Atomic Lamp?"

Thanks for any comments/leads.
