I'm looking for the history of flicking the side of the deck with your finger to cause it to break below a crimped card to reveal a selection. I first saw this principle in association with tiny plunger but wonder if it is older than that,

I first read it in Pit Hartling's Card Fictions. Great Read. He uses a breather and works from there.
