Greetings,

I have a Propdog reel that came with common fishing line. It is meant for the silk through mic stand, but the line can be seen easily if if flashes into view during the effect.

I need to replace the line with a black one, and have found the following options:
Black nylon line, 0.1mm thick monofilament
Black Kevlar line, 0.5mm braided
Black PE fishing line, 0.1mm monofilament

I´d appreciate advice on what option is better for a reel. The nylon line that came originally with the reel is much thicker at 0.25mm and the line curls up when not under tension.
It would be better to have a line that does not curl up.
Thanks!

It may depend on how much tension the reel has, but I'd suggest a 20-40 Denier monofilament that's used for fly making. You may need to try a couple out but that should give you more invisibility and enough strength for the reel as well
