Looking to improve my sloppy false transfers, and am looking for recommended resource on the subject.

Thanks!

Al Schneider has an excellent on Amazon - I think Kindle available.

However, for me there is a difference between "false transfers" and "fake transfers." Contact me next year after you have read the popular stuff.

The key is to be aware of where an observer believes an object to be rather than concern over the method to support it actually being somewhere else.

The best method may be where the observer does not even remember that you transferred the object at all (real or fake) -
it just wound up being in a place other than anticipated. Many popular sleights draw attention to the hands when normal handling would not do so.

Also explore the advantages of a Fake Take over a Fake Place.

Have fun with your journey.

Like you, Gnorman, I'm working on false transfers. Funsway is the expert here, but I'll add my two cents.

1. One way to create the situation "where the observer does not even remember that you transferred the object at all" is to create a reason why you needed to make the transfer, e. g., you needed to free up the hand holding the object so it could do something else -- pick up a wand, etc.

2. Funsway mentioned Al Schneider. He's great -- a profound thinker on the art of deception. I recommend his disk, The Al Schneider Technique, v. 1.

3. Rick Holcombe, who's on the Café, has some beautiful youtube tutorials on false tranfers.

Good luck -- to both of us!

Daryl's Cups and Balls Series and his Three Fly III DVD's have some good material on false transfers.
