Hi could someone please clarify why my thread about wallets, coin holders, deck holders and p**k devices is now in the rings and strings forum. Maybe I missed something.

Thankyou.

Hi Neil,

Your thread is a mash up of several different topics and most of them have no actual forum specific to them. The best options were Tangled Web, where it would likely languish in relative obscurity, or something which wallets, deck holders, peek devices, etc would best fit. To that end, magic with wallets and such devices is best fit to the rather broad forum of all sorts of magic with random stuff. Rings, strings, and things.

Hi Thanks for that. Not a problem. Maybe a forum for wallets could be created as its an often discussed topic. Also I noticed my latest thread was deleted from Nothing Up My Sleeve. Did I break any rules? Apologies if I did.

Depending on what exactly is being discussed, there are already several forums about wallets. The workers, latest and greatest, tricks and effects and inner thought to name a few.

Your thread in Nothing up my Sleeve was removed because you have already posted your announcement and link to your site in the rings and things forum. No need to make another topic about the same thing just because in this case you were being specific rather than posting about multiple items.

Okay. But it was specifically about coin holders hence the post in the coin section where I felt people would have more knowledge.
Apologies for breaking the rules and thankyou for replying.

You didn't really break a rule, just posted the same thing in two different forums.

Yes. Your post was in rings and things covers several topics including coins so you can post about coins there

In threads where a wallet is discussed at length a Café member may often post a link to a review on youtube or another review site. With this in mind am I allowed to do the same? To give you an example in a thread where the Stealth Assassin Wallet is discussed could I post this?

Would that be fair use?

Not sure I completely understand. You want to post a link to your site that repeats the description of the stealth wallet and then provides links to all the posts in the Café talking about it. You have the same information in your topic in rings and things so a new post is actually a repeat of everything already in existance.

You just need to keep all your posts in the original rings and things forum. Posting in other forums would be cross posting since you already have the topic running there. I guess the answer to your question is “no you can’t”
