Hello Hypnotists

I found a YouTube video of a burglar who stole properties and was trapped by sweeping the victim house repeatedly until the arrival of the victim.

I would like to get explanations from hypnotists to what really happened in the video because I thought nobody can be hypnotized against their will.

This is the first time I'm watching a thief trapped by hypnosis in a strange way.

So what do you think happened here?

If I would like to replicate this same effect to protect my house from burglars and thief using hypnosis, how should I go about it?

Thank you so much in advance

Below is the YouTube video link

It’s nonsense.

It has to be the cleanest trash I have ever seen. The video doesn’t show anything about how this actually happened. It just shows some kid sweeping with a guy doing a voiceover.

So many thoughts come to mind, that guy needs to be hypnotized to pull
up his pants for starters.

The second thing is that this is beyond fake.

If you want to protect your house, invest in a proper camara/alarm system,
it's been proven in studies to be 3 to 4 times more effective at stopping
a burglar than typical hypnosis.

Thanks for your comment. Highly appreciated !! My thoughts exactly is in ancient times before invention of technologies like guns, pepper spray, cctv cameras, alarm systems, electric gates.... how did Hypnotists / Magicians / Mentalists protect their homes against Burglars and Thieves?

A big dog.

Obviously somehow you’re confused and think this is the Jedi Mind Trick. Bad news. It isn’t.

I'm more inclined to think there is some sort of psychotic break involved rather than hypnosis. That is giving the benefit of a big doubt that the footage is as claimed. If a criminal broke in and was caught because they swept the floor over and over and over, that's a mental health issue not a Svengali anti burglar mind whammy.

As for how wizards protected their towers in the time of myth and lore, they used magic. Obviously.????

True in imaginary times that is likely.

Maybe it is better discussed on a Dungeons and Dragons web site as opposed to an entertainment hypnosis section of a magic board?

Well actually in the rules they sort of discourage the practice.

But also shouldn't a joke be funny at some point?
