100% natural beeswax can be found in stores.
There is also the blue putty used for hanging pictures, I can't remember the name, some type of Loctite product I think. That stuff is found with hooks and other things used for hanging in the hardware section. Like Julie said though, double sided tape is great stuff and is also my first choice.

I'm in the UK, and find blu-tac works well. I'm not sure what the US equivalent is. It's also available in white (and perhaps other colours - I'm sure I seen pink at one time).
It should be available from most stationers. Jim |

Blu-tac. Thank you Jim, that's what I was trying to think of.

Gorilla Glue makes an adhesive putty as well. It's an off-white color. That's what I've been using, but I think they're all approximately the same strength.

Museum gel is an interesting product, depending on what you want to do. Clear, very viscous, sticky substance.

I am sure that Zots have been suggested. They have a really strong adhesive, sometimes a little too strong but if you play with a little it will lose some of the tack.

I use orthodontic wax. It's actually for people who wear braces, but it works really well with IT. You can get it (at least in Germany) in pharmacies, and it's darn cheap.

My little tin of magician's wax is barely untouched since I bought it back in the 1980's.
That said, I've often wondered if Mack's silicone putty earplugs (which I do use) would work as well. If so, the bonus is that the plastic case they come in is perfect for carrying up to a dozen cards. I use one to hold prepped card warp sets for my particular walk-around use.
