Please note that this forum is dedicated specifically to the discussion of magicians from our magical past, including such greats as Robert-Houdin, Houdini, Blackstone, Thurston, Carter, Marlo, Vernon and others.

It is hoped that by discovering the history and origins of these performers from days gone by, we may better understand the art of performing today.

This area is NOT to be used as a review area, and should be considered a source and reference only. Any posts that are OFF TOPIC in any way will be removed with absolutely NO NOTICE given. That said, if you really do not know about the performer you are writing about, do us all a big favor and do not post, unless you are simply inquiring about said performer or simply stating your own personal opinion. Remember, opinion must not be confused with fact. Thank you.
