Holy Wood ENGRAVED Edition. Do you guys see a use for the 'engraving', or you prefer the original?

I am thinking that there are a variety of possibilities with the engraving for those who want to add a climax to the presentation.

It goes from purely a penetration effect to one which also includes a card reveal.

Maybe we could call it a bonus climax.

I prefer the original version. To a layman, the original is just a piece of wood, whereas the new version with printing makes it feel like a prop.

Yes. I had a damaged one that did not look like it should. I received a replacement today and it is the perfect illusion.

Can you post a picture of then end grain of yours? Thanks!

Thanks for this. I watched your video and I noticed that the end grain does not look like end grain.

I certainly understand the issue that some have with the end grain. Please believe me when I say that your spectators will not notice it and even if they do, it will not be a concern.

Their focus is the surface of the block. The ends are away from where the magic takes place so not an issue.

Honestly, I did not even notice it until I saw it mentioned here on the cafe. Who is looking at the ends of the block? Even if they take a look see, they will move on. Further, the ends are not in their view for more than a second if at all.

Has anyone had a spectator point to the end grain? I doubt it.

Thanks for listening and just enjoy the prop and perform it without concern.
