I have been doing the linking rings for many years and have used various methods to link the chain of three. At one point I merely pivot the rings down one at a time to apparently show three separate rings, toss them into the air to link them as in Vernon's method. At other times I'd strike link the chain of three one ring at a time. Both methods have elicited good audience reaction, but I'm curious to know what other magicians do with the chain of three. I know that some magicians don't even use the chain of three, use no helpers and do it with music. It makes for a pretty routine, but I really enjoy the audience participation.
