I was writing a script about seeing another magician perform a magic trick, and I was going to use the old “Foo LingYu” as their name.
Thinking about it I’m worried it’s slightly racist, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any other funny magician names that don’t have any racial connotations?

Thank you!

Khan Juror?
For a supernatural chiller mixing magic (prestidigitation, legerdemain) with Magic (occultism, mysticism), check out my novel MAGIC: AN OCCULT THRILLER at http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Occult-Thriller-Reed-Hall/dp/1453874836

What is the gist of the trick you are attributing to the magician?

Maybe you shouldn't focus on a generic name, but on the specific trick (maybe implying it was the only trick he or she knew).

Examples:

Shell game: Bunco the Magician; Cheat-ini
Three card trick: Three card Monty
Rope trick: Ropey the Clown

I would stick with your original name. I don’t think it’s racist I am sure if you search hard enough
You’ll find a Mr Yu.. I think we are being to sensitive.
