Great effect ... terrible quality red Bike Rider Back Cards.
Usually Bike cards are so smooth to use. Fanning beautifully, straight from the box. However, these are awful. Very sticky. As if there is no "finish" to them. Even the instructions read the new cards might need to be "broken in". Handling the cards, I can't see this will ever happen. Never had trouble with new Bike cards ... ever. For me, the effect is ruined, not being able to ribbon spread the deck. Anyone else had/has this problem? |

Seems to be more common these days. Bicycle quality is sketchy. I have a hard time finding any deck of Bicycle cards that have even borders. Maybe some fanning powder will help.

This is a known issue with the bicycle MPD decks. I'm apparently one of the lucky few whose cards fan just fine. I'd try the tiniest amount of fanning powder and see if that doesn't help things. Be careful, though, too much will make the cards even worse.

A quick update. CardShark is now making this deck in Phoenix backs. These should be standard USPCC quality and they should fan fine. If you can't get on with the ones you have, these new ones will certainly be up to the task.

Thanks Steven,
if this was an item I used on a regular basis, I would take a look at the Phoenix backs ... shame though, I thought Bike cards were the No.1 choice for card gaffs. |

The reason my deck is at the bottom of my drawer.
