Anyone out there ever made their own version of Ringflight?

I suspect that you mean a reel based ring flight when you ask.

I have made three different styles of ring flight none use a reel. So NO I haven’t made a Reel Ring Flight (pun intended)!

However, I have turned a simple key ring into a ring flight gimmick. I have also converted/gimmicked two leather wallet type key holders into good ring flights. Each used a different method. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out how to gimmick a key ring, a key chain, or a leather key wallet.

I was referring to a reel based ring flight although feedback / comments on other approaches is always welcome.
