I guess I am still old school as the tried and true method of t--- stills work great. John Calvert use an incredible background that you cannot see anything even right by it.

You must find the setting to fit your style.

Sean's dancing hank looks great when it is properly rehearsed and works. But by his own admission, when it doesn't work you are hammered.

It is a one man dancing hank with the all the standard moves and bits. But you will need to get all three parts to make it work. And that is kind of expense.

I was there backstage the first time he did it at Abbott's. It really is a remarkable idea but not for everyone.

So true...so true...yeah, I got to see John perform at the castle and I think it was his birthday that night. Dancing hank was super cool. Too bad you need a little "something extra" to perform it.

I'm finding that there are a lot of things that can go wrong and when it does, there's little you can do to bail out! The write up when I bought it said "No special backdrops needed", it didn't say "If you only do select portions of the routine". Special backdrop, plus special costuming and now tangling and gimmick tearing through silk has me wondering if I'll ever really do it in public!

Again may I reiterate anybody wanting to do the dancing Hank in a 'cabaret' type situation purchase or email Wayne Rogers book Chicanery where he explains his dancing hanky routine, which is killer!! It can be done surrounded and is a great routine from start to finish. His web address is

On comedy's recommendation, I got a copy of Wayne Rodger's lecture notes. He has them available for download on his site. His Dancing Hank is covered in the notes and has some very good ideas. There are a few other things there that I'll be able to use, also.

Mr. Rodger's was also very helpful and friendly in answering a couple of questions I had about the notes.

They were $15, I received them in about an hour, and they have been well worth the money.

Thanks,
Richard

They have 3 Don Wayne Dancing Hanks in stock and ready to ship. Price $45.00 plus postage.

I have posted this several times on the Café' and Stoner's Funstores have told me they have not sold any to the members that have said they strongly want to get ahold of this item.

Most of these inquirers have been in foreign countries, and do not which to pay the postage. Anyway, they are still in the drawer.

I am in no way connected with Stoner's Funstores, but just trying to help those that keep saying they want an item and cannot find it!
