Hi. Aside from the basic CMH, could someone please tell me the names/sources of the effects here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvtE9d1weIg (There are ring effects, the post-CMH effect, and the torn & restored effect.) Thank you! |

That is all very basic rubber band routines (performed well) and can all be found on http://www.llpub.com/zenshop/index.php?m......_id=1402 (Get on their email list and wait for a sale also available as a download
http://llepub.com/index.php?main_page=pr......s_id=246 http://llepub.com/index.php?main_page=pr......s_id=443 http://llepub.com/index.php?main_page=pr......s_id=444 same company / different email list and different sales. This site is all e-products (ebooks, and downloads) Also check out http://www.rubberbandmagic.com/ For some other great Rubber Band Magic DVD's and some awesome digital downloads (most under $10). The Rubber bands on this site are some of the best on the market. Also, note that each color rubber band is named after someone. Research each of these folks as they all have contributed greatly to the rubber band genre. Lastly, (yet this was the first dvd I got for my niece to learn magic) http://www.magictricks.com/DVD-hotshot-with-rubberbands.html (I don't know anything about this shop, It was just the first that popped up having the dvd in stock)

I enjoyed this video. It never occurred to me to do a ring off by that method, Duuuh!
Some other sources: the rising ring can be found in Magic for Dummies (which is a good book for many other effects as well). I do that effect with a Chinese coin, and talk about how in China, their coins would fall down, but it would be up for us... Link! has many variations for CMH, including how to magically link them, and other ways to link a rubber band to a ring ( an aside, Scott Alexander's recent Penguin Magic Live, has a very nice way to link 3 borrowed rings) John
