Has anyone tried to make an effect similar to the Collector's Workshop Gift of Time? It is a classic clock that you can set the hands on via a remotely control. (Retails for $2,450)
I saw one many years ago and remember the remote being a two button device. Let's say the spectator selected a time of 3:17. To set the hour hand, button A is pressed 3 times and to set the minute hand, button B was pressed the 17 times. (Woo is me if the spectator selected 12:59!) So, using modern electronics to re-engineer this device, a simpler 10 pad remote could be used and only three key depression would be required to get to 3:17. http://www.vikingmagic.com/CW/Gift%20of%20Time I am not aware of this device being patented or copyrighted so assume it is OK to make one for my own use.
