I was given a Kirkendal razor blade stand awhile back, but it came to me without any instructions. Does anyone on the Café have any information about this item? It's beautifully made from stainless steel, but I'm struggling to understand its workings. Thanks so much for your help.

It works like the classic model, as I remember. When the spool is removed the blades are exchanged. It is a beautiful piece and a classic trick. It cost $150.00 back in the 1970's. A friend of mine had one.

If you could be more specific, then just the word "working", maybe we could figure it out. A picture would help as well. It has been a lot of years since I seen one.
