I was visiting my Mom and her friend in Pittsburgh, and they took my brother and me to the Cuckoo's Nest. I'd never been in a real magic shop before that, and I asked the guy to show me a coin trick. He asked me if I knew Scotch and Soda. I'd heard of the trick for years but never actually seen it done, so he did it for me. But he'd meant for the copper coin to reappear in my jacket pocket. Unfortunately, I had a hole in that pocket, and the coin reappears inside the lining somewhere. I felt it at first and realized what had happened, but when I let go of it, it totally disappeared. All three of the workers, my Mom, her friend, my brother, and I all searched the dang jacket for about half an hour, and we never did find that coin! As the demonstrator said, it sort of turned into a David Blaine effect.
