This is footage from a festival I performed at last week. I put this act together in a week.
I had been through a very hard month, my uncle had a stroke and I broke up with my girlfriend/assistant all in the same month. I had a double act version of this well rehearsed and had already performed it with her at halloween. Two weeks before the festival we split, this is what I put together. She was in the audience and I guess it had an affect on her, because she was trying to get my attention and talk to me all night. But my friends wouldn't let her near me.

It's called 'A heart of Moths & Feathers', after a saying we had. She was going to get a tattoo of a moth & a feather….

Seriously, I really enjoyed the gory aspect!

Honestly I thought it was horrible. I didn't get any of it. All the blood, the heart thing at the end, and your general lack of stage presence only made it worse.

This one needs to be reworked from the ground up.

This was probably a one off performance off this routine chad. I might re-do it and make a short film from it.

Ok. Well I can't wait to see the next version of it.

I cut my heart out at the end, to represent my heart being cut out in real life... Hence the story at the start. There was more to the poem/story but I was chocking up. I don't know if you can hear it in my voice. I wasn't exactly at my best... I was also meant to make the cane reappear after pulling the blades out, pulling out a silk to wipe my mouth which turned back into the cane. But I had just seen the girl moments before the show, I was told she wasn't going to be there. My head was spinning.

I the final version I want to break open the heart and have actual Moths and feathers come out.
