I'm looking for, as the title of my post suggests, as large a collection of impromptu finger ring magic as I can find! I already do JM's Divorce and I LOVE IT. Also, I perform rubber band and ring routines, Garrett Thomas's the Ring Thing, and a couple of moves inspired by thimble magic.

However, I'm hungry for more, and although I know some of the very best routines might be reserved for individual releases, I'm looking for a book or DVD that could provide a large compendium of impromptu ring magic. I'm ok to work moves, I practice, and I'm ok with hard effects. But I really want not one or two effects but really something I can look through, be inspired by, and learn a bunch of things from that I can then pick through and find what works.

Any suggestions?

There was also an Oriental guy who made a DVD of finger ring manipulations, but I cannot find it now. Very hard stuff, but looked like real magic.

Worlds Greates Magic - Finger Ring Magic

Is there a clear winner between De'Ring and Ringja? I too am looking to expand my finger ring magic and both items look intriguing.

I don't own either, but if you do search on review, I believe Rinja wins. His more even more difficult then De'Ring methods. But I think one should buy both just to have alternative handlings. Both will take some time to learn, so be prepared to practice a lot in your bedroom all alone.

You know, what I like about this is that, although a lot of it looks like stuff I already know, it's classified into simple moves and move types. It's more like an encyclopedia than any of the others. And a lot of the moves I haven't seen are ones I'd consider using. I'm less looking for full routines, and more looking for moves to add to my arsenal and moves to inspire me to create my own material.

I will absolutely check out a lot of the suggestions here, as well! Ringja especially has some fascinating looking moves, especially loving the in the hand ring transpo's with other rings. All of these are going on my shopping list!

Its weird looking at myself with hair! That trailer was recorded in 2007, and I still do the routine today. Its my go-to effect. Its improved a lot since then and I have extra stages that are on the 2.0 dvd, not seen in the trailer.

I stand by it though as one of my best releases. Body tricks and find the lady are my next two biggest, as I use those effects at every single show.
