I remember reading about an effect that I believe Vernon did. The description included a story concerning a man who remembered it years later.
I could be wrong that it was Vernon's. I've gone through all his stuff but to no avail. Could be Jennings.
Is this ringing a bell with our scholars out there?
No, I have no other details.
Thanks,
Dan

It's Matching the Cards in Inner Secrets
I blew right past it in my search because the anecdote of the spectator remembering the trick 15 years later isn't in Inner Secrets. But upon further reading on this effect I found that Vernon called it one of the best effects he performed for a lay audience. So he was chatty about this effect. That tells me his comments concerning the anecdote are probably in some other source.
Later and thanks to those who helped. I know I didn't give you much to go on.

I think it is in Ganson's teach In on matching the cards that he quotes Vernon as saying it was one of the best tricks you can do for a lay audience.
