I'm trying to explain to my dad what a "Chavez Act" is. Can somebody please point me to a youtube video that is a good example? Preferably one with billiard balls cards, coins, cigarettes, thimbles,

With the Chavez course you learn the basics in manipulation. Then the teachers encourage to create your development of material and an act that is all your own. We have over a dozen Chavez Graduates here on the Café, but they don't necessarily work with the courses props.

I'm a Chavez Graduate. Neal shows that you don't have to stick exactly to the Chavez routine. You learn the basics then go from there. It's a great place to learn the fine points of manipulations. They have a correspondence course, but to me, you learn more from the one on one teaching.

There is also Dale Salwak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODXXVHExkP8

Here is doing the card routines that is taught. Even though it was not in the Chavez Course, he taught me the Interlock Production.
