I did this once while working on a plotter, but there were 64 screws!

Seriously, the best two things I have found to prevent shop accidents:

1. Don't work tired.
2. If someone comes in to talk, turn off all the equipment and don't resume until they leave.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

When you shake a can of paint.. only to realize that the lid wasn't put on very well by the idiot who'd used it last.. (that would have been me yesterday)... I got SILVER Enamel paint all over me, the shop.. but NONE on the project I was gettting ready to paint.
