Hey folks,
I thought you might enjoy seeing me working in my OTHER workshop.
It is a bit smaller and uses far less tools.
Plus it is cooler than most shops due to celebrity guests showing up now and then...
on this day the one and only BATMAN made an appearance

It is good to hit the ol' drawing board and actually draw for a change!!

Here is a shot of the final art. It has been cropped down due to Café size limits etc.
Batman was my first obsession as a child.
I spent my entire adult life drawing comics and commercial art and NEVER once drew Batman.
I decided to sit down, the day before Christmas, and draw this batman piece for my 22 year old Niece who recently has become a HUGE Batman fan.
Needless to say on Christmas day she was blown away.
Her expression was worth more than ANY paycheck I received back in the comic book days.
Gotta love the spirit of Christmas.

You know, that is just shocking how going back in your past and some of the things of your past can
bring back a sense of wonder, that you can now share with others. to me, coming back to magic with a
mostly 20 year break is similar. But I know I won't quit now--it is just too much fun.

I am have been secretly working on a new project for the last 1 1/2 years and is almost complete.
We will be attanding the 2013 Las Vegas Liscencing Expo to debut the new concept.
It is a NON MAGIC related concept.
Hopefully we get some bites and I can expand further into what I do best.

It is a Children's Book series that we are releasing.
There will be a movie embedded into the front page, of the website, showing interior pics of the book and info.
We are pitching the concept to Nickelodian for an animated cartoon as well as many other liscencing possibiliies including toys and the whole shabang!
The book is being published at this time. Once complete, we will be offering the book for sale to Café memebers and our customers after we return from the Expo!

Are you doing the story writing, as well?

My wife wrote the story and I handled the illustration.
This is the fisrt story she has written and it is getting excellent reviews from other writers as well as three editors that proofed the work.
It has been an awesome husband and wife team effort!
