I got it recently,

I had a lot of the material covered already but I wanted it to see different performances of the effects.

It is a lecture that has been recorded so not everything is covered 100% as on the respective releases but it doesn't hide anything. I learnt a lot from it given that I had specific things to look for. It is as though you are watching it from the audience. Some people might not like how it is shot but everything is clear and the content is great.

I think this works best alongside the other releases, if you had this on its own I think you would miss some of the power of the effects and how simple and direct they really are. You will have to do a little work yourself to perform some of the effects without the supporting releases.

for example, when I got diction it came with the dictionary and whatever else you need, on the lecture dvd you will have to do everything yourself in terms of book and the extras, when I bought the mene tekel dvd and cards, it obviously came with the cards needed

In terms of just content and potential I would give this a great score, I really enjoyed watching it and there is a LOT of really strong material here,

the only thing I can't really see myself performing is the coin routine, it is enjoyable enough to work through but it just doesn't fit my style.

You will be able to do everything described just from the DVD but if there is something specific you are interested in it may be worth picking that up too.

Are there any effects in particular you are interested in on the DVD?

I use Tearify, Diction and some Mene Tekel effects currently, I will be expanding the Diction section after watching this DVD and Tearify is stronger now too. The haunted pack is great too, but best if you have something to follow along with.

I'm really happy with this one, exactly what I wanted from it.

Each item is performed and explained with some thoughts on handling etc, it has made my understanding of the effects be of a higher standard and expand. The audience at the lecture also ask questions so that may be of help if the effects are new.

If I had been at the lecture I probably would have bought some of the other releases so it's not a surprise that they go well together!
