The previous clip of the Kalanag Levi is very short and we don't get to see the entire presentation. Below is a better link, although when the girl travels downward she does not go down all the way to the floor as Kalanag does it. I believe that Kalanag only made one trip to the U.S. and as a part of it he did the levitation on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Just goes to show those "old guys" did know what they were doing. I don't think this classic levitation has ever been equaled. (And yes, it is dangerous to perform.)

Sorry for spelling and thank you for correcting me.
Any plans out there to be had?

Phew... that was a clever piece of work.

The only bit I couldn't figure was the last... meaning I know HOW it was done, just not where. Poor girl must have had an iron constitution to pull that off.

No plans. In fact, Harry Blackstone Jr. once owned it and Charles Reynolds refused to let him perform it. It was that dangerous.

Also realize that Kalang had background in movies. He knew how to play the camera and an audience perfectly.

I'd say that's easily the most dangerous levitation I've ever seen. I certainly wouldn't perform it, nuh uh.

If I was still working, I'd do the broomstick in a comedy way with a male assistant using CRUTCHES.

Paul Daniels owned the actual levitation apparatus that once belonged to Kalanag. He acquired it from Klingsor in Belgium.

Paul then subsequently performed it on British TV with Debbie.

The great thing about it is that it uses several methods - genius!

Kalanag never did lousy tricks...but then again he could afford not to if the stories of how he came by his money are to be believed.

regards
