Could anybody please recommend a beginners book for origami. I have looked at quite a few online but am not sure which one to go for.

Origami 1, 2 and 3 are excellent. Not sure about the rest since I don't have them

"Teach Yourself Origami" by John Montroll, also his "Super Simple Origami" and "Easy Origami".

YouTube has a lot of videos for beginning folders. I started with Robert Harbin’s books, Origami 1,2, and 3. The first is close to being a beginner’s book as there are several diagrams showing how each fold is made and the models have more steps and less folds per diagram. In the more advanced models (vols 2 & 3), you have several folds per diagram which means the book can give you more models to fold. Origami A-Z by Eric Kenneway is a good book to own. He rates each model from easy to difficult. If you like to fold money, The Buck Book is excellent. For more advanced folders, Robert Neale’s “Money Folding Fooling” is a must buy. If you like DVDs, Money Menagerie, produced by the late, Dennis Loomis is worth looking at. Happy folding!

I liked Genuine Origami by Jun Maekawa. But he has his own special approach.
