I was wondering which wax , it is best to use for the floating rose ... A wax that does not dry as quickly and adheres to metal. And what are the different between magic wax and the ordinary beewax I can bye in the hobbystore?

Hi Trixy:
I do the floating rose, and I recommend Yigal Mesika's wax. This seems to be the best I've used so far. Not sure about beewax, but I think it would be a little "harder" and maybe a little crumbly (if that's a word). Jim |

Nothing too soft. I have had even the finest IT slice right through various waxes.

You should check out Master Wax by Steve Fearson it's pretty good.

If you mix in some thread (not IT) into the ball of wax, the IT will not slice through.

This is no joke! Many pros do this.
In the plumbing department of the store, buy the wax ring used to seat a bathroom toilet. You'll have a lifetime supply of excellent magicians' wax. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander PS --- Store it in aluminum foil. |

Bob is correct...and it's a heckuva lot cheaper! I believe the "Howie Diddits" on this Café mentions this as well.
